Tree House

This stand alone addition to a landscape architect's vacation home is nestled in the tree tops high above the Watauga River and offers long range views to Grandfather Mountain. Wooden walkways connect the porch of the existing residence to this new three-story addition which serves as extended living space for large family gatherings. The addition includes a new great room with indoor/outdoor fireplaces, three bedroom suites, an artist studio and ground level storage all interconnected with a series of stairs and porch landings.
