Yonni's Clubhouse
Yonni's Clubhouse at Grandfather Mountain transformed the park's former Fudge Shop into an engaging, hands-on science and conservation education center designed to inspire young explorers. Our team reimagined the existing 1,300-square-foot facility, developing the architectural design and interior spatial layout to support interactive exhibits focused on pollinators, climate, weather, and ecosystems while creating an inviting, accessible environment for children and families.
Working collaboratively with Grandfather Mountain, exhibit designers, and artists, we provided spatial planning, exhibit integration, and design guidance to ensure each experience complemented the building's architecture and visitor flow. We also offered input on the placement of environmental graphics and interior murals to enhance the educational experience. The renovation extends beyond the building itself, seamlessly connecting indoor learning with the covered porch, accessible discovery trail, pollinator gardens, and outdoor interpretive spaces, creating a cohesive destination that encourages exploration, curiosity, and a lifelong appreciation for the natural world.
